For those of you that did not have the time or just did not care as the winter is the perfect time to get a little bit under the belly, we have made a list of things you can do to stay fit and healthy during the summertime.

  1. Don’t drink too much

Don’t drink too muchThe biggest problem everyone has when trying to stay fit during the summer is to drink less alcohol. Alcohol can drastically change your health and fitness to the point of gaining or losing 10 kilos easy. The more you drink during the hot summer, the better you might feel in your head, but your body won’t be thanking you anytime soon.

Alcohol has lots of ingredients that make your body dehydrated and can even damage certain cells. If you want to stay fit and healthy during the hot summer trade in that beer for a lemonade.

  1. Prepare your food in advance

People usually don’t go to eat unless they are starving. More and more people start eating when its already way past their normal eating time because they simply don’t have a chance to eat when they are supposed to. The problem with this kind of habits is that you eat until you are full because you started eating when you were starving, thereby consuming more food than you should or would normally.

Spice up your water

It’s easy to prepare your food in advance and pack it to eat later when you know you won’t have time. This way you eat healthy food, you consume much less because you prepared how much you would eat, and you eat at the right time.

If you want to stay hydrated for longer periods of time during the summer, try adding some fruit to your water. Slice a piece of lemon or orange and dip it into your water with some ice and you have a healthy refreshing drink that can keep you hydrated for longer than just water by itself.
